Cookie policy

Last updated: 8 June 2026

This cookie policy explains how Bluegrove Financial Solutions Ltd, trading as ProSuitability (“we”, “us”, “our”), uses cookies and similar technologies when you visit our website and use our online service. It should be read together with our privacy notice.

1. Who we are

The website and ProSuitability web application are operated by Bluegrove Financial Solutions Ltd (company number 6363970), whose registered office is at 20a Moreton Avenue, Harpenden, Hertfordshire AL5 2ET. ProSuitability is our trading name.

2. What cookies are

Cookies are small text files placed on your computer, tablet or phone when you visit a website. They are widely used to make websites work, keep them secure, and remember information about your visit. Similar technologies (such as browser local storage or session storage) may be used for the same purposes; we refer to these collectively as “cookies” in this policy where the effect is comparable.

Cookies may be set by us (first-party cookies) or by another organisation whose content appears on our pages (third-party cookies).

3. How we use cookies

We use cookies only where needed to run the website, keep accounts secure, and deliver the ProSuitability service you request. We do not currently use advertising cookies or mainstream web-analytics cookies (such as Google Analytics) on our site.

The cookies and similar technologies we use fall into the categories below.

3.1 Strictly necessary cookies

These cookies are essential for the website and application to function. They include cookies that enable you to log in, protect form submissions from abuse, and maintain your session while you use the service. Without them, core features such as signing in, working on cases, or using the interactive demo would not work. Under UK privacy rules (PECR), we do not need your consent to use strictly necessary cookies.

3.2 Functional session data

While you use the signed-in application, we store information in your session to support features you are actively using — for example, which client is selected in the workbench, report-constructor navigation state, or the time limit on the read-only public demo. This data is held in the session cookie described below, not in separate marketing or tracking cookies.

3.3 Third-party cookies

Some pages include content provided by third parties. Where that content loads from another domain, that provider may set its own cookies if you interact with it. We describe the third parties we use today in section 5.

4. Cookies we set (first party)

Name Purpose Category Typical duration
sessionid Identifies your browser session. Used to keep you signed in, operate the suitability application, time-limit the interactive ISA demo, and store short-lived in-session preferences (for example workbench or report-constructor context). Strictly necessary Session cookie. For signed-in users, up to 40 minutes of inactivity, after which you will need to sign in again. The read-only public demo session lasts up to 30 minutes from when it starts.
csrftoken Helps protect against cross-site request forgery (CSRF) when you submit forms (for example signing in, signing out, or saving data in the application). Strictly necessary Typically up to one year, or for the length of your browser session, depending on your browser and how you use the site.

Cookie names may appear exactly as shown or with a prefix depending on your browser and our hosting configuration.

5. Third parties

5.1 Stripe (trial signup and billing)

When you start a free trial or manage billing, you may be redirected to Stripe Checkout or the Stripe Customer Portal on stripe.com. Stripe may set its own cookies on its domain to process payments securely and prevent fraud. We do not embed Stripe payment cookies directly on our pages today. See Stripe’s privacy policy for details.

5.2 Supademo (product walkthrough)

Our product page may embed an interactive walkthrough provided by Supademo (app.supademo.com). If you play the embedded demo, Supademo may set cookies on its domain. We do not control those cookies. See Supademo’s privacy information for details.

5.3 Content delivery (scripts)

We load some JavaScript from public content-delivery networks (for example Tailwind CSS and HTMX) to render pages efficiently. These requests ordinarily do not place cookies on your device for our site, but the providers may process technical data (such as your IP address) in server logs.

5.4 Future tools

We may add other third-party tools over time (for example a meeting scheduler on our “Book a demo” page). If we do, we will update this policy and, where UK law requires it, ask for your consent before any non-essential cookies are set.

6. What we do not use today

  • Advertising or retargeting cookies
  • Social-media tracking pixels
  • Mainstream website analytics cookies (for example Google Analytics)
  • Cookie-based A/B testing or profiling for marketing

If this changes, we will update this policy and implement consent controls where they are required.

7. Legal basis

For strictly necessary cookies, we rely on our legitimate interests in operating a secure, reliable online service and, where you have an account, on performance of our contract with you. If we introduce non-essential cookies in future (for example analytics), we will rely on your consent where required by the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations 2003 (PECR) and UK GDPR.

8. How to control cookies

You can block or delete cookies through your browser settings. Most browsers let you refuse all cookies, accept only certain cookies, or delete cookies when you close the browser. Guidance is available from your browser provider (for example Chrome, Safari, Firefox, or Edge).

If you block strictly necessary cookies, parts of our website will not work — including signing in and using the application.

To end a signed-in session, use Sign out in the application header. Leaving the read-only public demo by visiting our public marketing pages also ends the demo session.

9. Changes to this policy

We may update this cookie policy from time to time — for example when we add features, third-party tools, or analytics. The “Last updated” date at the top of this page shows when it was last revised. We encourage you to review this page periodically.
